Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Bink, a tool for tracking private poker games: buy-ins, cash-outs, and settlements between players. By creating an account or using a shared ledger link, you agree to these Terms.

Using Bink

Bink lets a host create a game, add players, log buy-ins and cash-outs, and share the resulting ledger. Only the host needs an account. Players are added by the host and receive their result over SMS or WhatsApp along with a link to the ledger.

Because players are added by the host rather than signing up themselves, the host is responsible for having each player's permission to add their name and phone number to a game.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating an account or adding players
  • Keep your account credentials secure and not share access to your account
  • Only add players who have agreed to be part of the game and to be contacted about it
  • Use Bink for lawful, private, informal games among consenting adults

You're responsible for knowing whether running a poker game, with or without stakes, is lawful where you and your players are located. Bink is a record-keeping tool, not a gambling operator, and does not verify the legality of any game.

Private Game Tracking Disclaimer

Bink is designed for private, informal games between people who already know each other. Bink does not run, operate, or take a share of any game, and does not process, hold, or move money between players. Any stakes, buy-ins, or payments are arranged directly between players, entirely outside of Bink.

Accuracy of Balances and Settlements

Bink calculates settlements based on the buy-ins, cash-outs, and confirmations that the host and players enter. We work to make that calculation correct given the numbers provided, but Bink is not responsible for:

  • Incorrect amounts entered by a host or player
  • Disputes between players about what actually happened at the table
  • Payments that are marked as sent or received but not actually completed

The ledger is a shared record intended to make settling up easier and more transparent. It is not a substitute for players confirming payment with each other directly.

User-Generated Content

Game names, player names, notes, and other details you or your players enter into Bink are your responsibility. Don't enter content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes on someone else's rights. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Account Rules

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a host account.
  • One account per host; don't create accounts to impersonate someone else.
  • You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for unlawful activity.

Acceptable Use Policy

When using Bink, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose, including running or promoting gambling where it is prohibited
  • Add players without their knowledge or consent
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, including through scraping, automated abuse, or attempts to bypass security controls
  • Use Bink to harass, threaten, or defraud another person
  • Reverse engineer or resell access to the service without our permission

Violating this Acceptable Use Policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Limitation of Liability

Bink is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bink and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including disputes over money owed between players, inaccurate entries, or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim relating to Bink is limited to the amount, if any, you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify hosts by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Bink after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
